  My Next Adventure?
A Walk In The Woods is coming along well. His journey along the Appalacian Trail has become as much a journey into himself as a journey across the trail.

He's also seeing America from a unique perspective, as an American who lived overseas for years and as an American seeing America at ground level.

Well his journey has given me a crazy idea for something to do next year! Harrisburg PA has a trail of its own. It's about 20 miles long, so it could be done in one day (I walked 8 miles in NYC, and likely did 15-20 a day when I was in Europe with my Sr. Class).

I'd actually "train" for this as well; try and build up my strength and endurance, learn how to use a map and compass, and any other stuff I may feel necessary to know.

Equipment would be simple, pair of nice hiking boots, and my Sierra Club daypack to hold food, water, snacks and maybe my digital camera.

I'd also be able to see the city of Harrisburg at ground level and at a walking pace.

More to follow.
