One Day My Mind Opened Up

  Only To Me
You know, I can seem to be a magnet for two things; misfits and mayhem!

I seem to attract, or be attracted to, unique people; like the former co-worker who was an "Industrial" musician. I listened to some of his music one day and could not believe that this angry, furious music was coming from the same person who would sit across from me at break and talk about writing and computers.

My most recent case of mayhem concerns my efforts to get DSL. Somehow because of my or the company's inability to put my correct apartment number down lead to the equipment being sent to my family's house in Western PA! A bit of quick thinking intercepted the package and re-directed it back to my home in Camp Hill.

So hopefully by Friday or Saturday I'll be in the "faster lane" of the information superhighway.

Another Year Over--and A New One Begins
Well we're here at 2007!

I gotta say that if I needed to sum up 2006 it may be a song by Gloria Estephan "coming out of the dark and into the light".

You see, somehow in 2006, I realized that I'd been living hidden behind a "mask of rage". And one day the mask just kinda fell away:)

From there possibilities seemed endless, an aborted job interview lead me to put some energy into getting my web development skills up to speed. A new digital camera may open up possibilities for creative expression. I even managed to get an on-line friendship going with a woman from a nearby city.

I found several old high school and college buddies, and made a few new friends that I'd have never met.

So what about year 007 (that does have a ring to it, you gotta admit). Well how about my annual "To-Do" list (resolutions seem so outdated):

  1. Keep working on my web dev skills

  2. Get my A+ certification

  3. Continue to learn Spanish

  4. Get healthier. Try and eat more natually, get my eyes checked, etc

  5. Explore-Work with my camera a bit, play the Irish Whistle, get some articles in the Lancaster Voice, finish my City Of Angels fanfic

I also hope in May to take my 1st ever real vacation to Assateague Virginia.

So, may you always live in the realm of the possible and always reach for the light!
