One Day My Mind Opened Up
Been A Week
I simply cannot believe that I've had my camera for a week, but I have!
I've already taken two "good pictures" the one of my tree lit by the sun and this somewhat eerie shot of my block enveloped by a fog:
I've got a few ideas for some projects that will be a lot easier since I picked up a tripod. I'd like to do some "still life" works, maybe try some "self-portraits".
I'll also revisit the
fest and hope to have pics from a planned trip to Virginia.
Maybe my friend Rich is right--I've re-opened an avenue for expression.
Treasonous Tech
Technology can be a wonderful thing, as some of the pictures that I've taken with my new camera can show.
But it can also betray you. The last few days have evidenced this.
This all started last Thursday when my monitor died, but some unexpected generosity from one of my employer's saved me about $150 for a new one. The trouble continued yesterday when my stereo ate my
Learn in Your Car Spanish cassette, I'll likely see if I can find the CD version of it in the course of my travels this week. Finally, I got up late today when my wind-up alarm clock died.
At least my TV, phone, cell phone and car are all working--for now.
Not Done Yet
Funny thing happened when I got up this morning.
All of the white paint on that ornament had dried clear and created an almost window-like effect:
And then when I got back from a "Battery Run" to power up my new Camera I saw the sunlight streaming through my window and decided to grab a shot of this:
Making Magic
Well, it's getting closer to Christmas and I figured it's time for me to get cracking on a present. I decided to try and make two ornaments, but I had to abort one of them when I didn't let the paint dry enough. I figure I can hit it up again next week along with the ornament I'll be making for my Brother, his wife, and their son.
Here's how this project developed:
I may just consider doing one without the "White paint". The design looks nice on a clear bulb.
